Q. How does artificial grass compare to real grass?

A. You will have a great looking garden all year without the thought of mowing, watering & fertilising.

Q. What is the lifespan of artificial grass?

A. 10-15 years depending on how well maintained

Q.  Does UV from the sun affect the artificial grass?

A. No, our grass is covered with I special coating on each strand of grass to stop UV lighting affecting the grass in every climate.

Q. What is the best type of artificial grass?

A. All of our astroturfs are made to the highest quality for the use you require

Q. What effect does heavy amounts of water have on artificial grass?

A. The grass is made with drainage holes so long as your foundations have good drainage this should not cause a problem.

Q. Is there a guarantee on all artificial grasses?

A. Yes we have a 8 year guarantee on all aspects of our surfaces

Q. Could artificial grass melt under extreme heat?

A. Obviously if it was set on fire there would be some damage but the sand infill reduces the chances of catching fire. The yarn would be very difficult to catch fire

Q. Can you park cars or other vehicles on the artificial grass?

A. Yes, the yarn and backing is very strong and can withstand heavy vehicles with ripping or causing damage to the artificial surface

MAINTENANCE

Q. How often must maintenance be carried out?

A. Our astro turt is almost maintenance free, removing leaves & other small pieces of debrit that wind may blow onto the surface would be about all the maintenance you would require.

Q. Will weeds come through the artificial grass?

A. If the surface is laid correctly and the proper foundations are laid there should be no need for any weeding.

Q. Does modern day artificial turf graze/cut skin as it has done in the past?

A. No the product is now made from polyethylene or polypropylene and gives a much more skin friendly feeling and gives off a lot less abrasion.

INSTALLATION

Q. How is artificial grass installed?

A. You can self install or have it installed by our professional team of fitters.

Q. What is it best to be laid on?

A. Depending on drainage, if you have a poor drainage system we recommend that this is laid on a hardcore base or sand. If you have a good drainage system it can be laid directly onto gravel or soil. We recommend that you lay a shock pad before laying the artificial grass, this gives longevity & safety combined.

Q. Can I self install artificial grass?

A. With a lot of care and patience it is very possible to lay yourself.

Q. Can artificial grass be laid on steep gradients?

A. You can lay on Steep gradients but may find with sand infill surfaces that when heavy rain comes there maybe slight problems.

Q. Is a shock pad necessary?

A. Not necessary but we certainly recommend it as it is really good as a safety pad for children and helps longevity.

Q. Why must most artificial grasses be sand infill

A. Sand help weigh the surface down and raise the yarn for the perfect look

Q. Is artificial grass pet friendly.

A. Yes the backing & Yarn is very strong and you will have no problems letting your pets roam about on it.

Q. What happens when a pet fouls on it?

A. Clean up the major dirt and let nature and rain water clear away the sediments & excess Dirt.

Q. Does the smell stay?

A. No, the natural rain water will drain away smell & excess mess.
